Whole-of-yard numbers
Perth-market data puts a basic backyard landscape at $5,250–$15,750 and a complete new-home landscape — front and back, retaining, retic, lawn, paving, gardens — at $15,750–$63,000, with around $42,000 typical. Block size, how much retaining you need and your choice of surfaces drive where you land.
Earthworks and site prep
Bobcat or mini excavator with operator: $94–$170 per hour, typically $115. Removing a builder's sand pile and levelling a standard estate block is usually half a day to a day. Soil amelioration (clay and compost through the top 100 mm) adds $1–$2/m².
